Wo ai...Australians & Hilary Duff.

I know that I should try to blog at some other time instead of writing my blog on Saturday night, coming home from the bar. But it's like the perfect time. I have a few drinks in me, not drunk, just feeling good, and I don't have to be anywhere tomorrow too terribly early...perfect time.

Lets see...the title of this post translated to " I love australians and Hilary Duff" because I'm listening to Hilary's latest CD right now while writing this. I bought her CD today from a store...probably illegal considering that there are like 42 songs on this CD and half of it are not even Hilary's..... GOD, I love china.

Anyhow, I got the chance to see Mamma Mia in Shanghai today. Rob, this british-chinese guy, that I went out with on a few dates got free tickets to see Mamma Mia so he invited me. God, Mamma Mia is still soooo amazing. And this cast is even hotter than the American cast...and British....Yum. After Mamma Mia, I spent sometime walking around the area between JingAn and People's Square since it was a matinee show. I went to DVD World, bought Harry Potter: Goblet of Fire, Fantastic Four: Silver Surfer, and Hilary Duff's CD..all for less than $3.....amazing. Then I went to MediterraneaN, a mediterranean restaurant...duh, and have myself some delicious food.... I think Rachel will love this restaurant when she gets here. I had some delicious latkes ( fried potatoes pancakes) and some sort of ground meat with eggplants covered it baked in an oven... YUM. Then I leisurely stroll the streets toward JingAn area, spur of the moment went in and finally got my hair cut. Another fantastic experience and then head home.

Later, I head out to meet Theresa, Howard and Nick with Josh at Bellagio Cafe. They ate since I ate while waiting for everyone to decide what to do, then we head over Bamboo Bar which Howard suggested. It was a sports bar but with RIDICULOUSLY GOOD MUSIC!!! But then they have a trashy dancer on the bar table...who wasn't smiling. But it was momentarily. In here, I learned how to play foosball and was doing pretty decent. Then I was taking a break when these 2 guys walked in, one of them I thought was quite gorgeous, and as they were trying to order drinks, the trashy girl got on the bar to dance and they both look and the gorgeous guy look at me and smile and about to say something. The next thing I knew he is chatting with me. His name is Ian, an Australian from Beijing, in Shanghai for holiday. He's visiting his friend Stewberth ( i think...I called him stewart) and I end up chatting with these 2 guys. We all were watching Australian football...and DEAR GOD, i finally found my sport!!!!! I mean, the men in this sport wears shorts shorts...and are...GORGEOUS!!!! That's all I need. And Ian was quite friendly and funny which I thought he was being flirty with me and such...so being a gentleman that I'm...I return the favor. I basically left everyone else because they were busy doing their things and chat with these 2 guys. Everyone left me and leaving some text messages involve the word "penetration" because they think it's funny. I'm still chatting with these 2, especially Ian because he's.... LOVELY. I mean...the boy has the most gorgeous blue eyes ever... and with the combination with his dark hair, blue eyes, the handsome australian good look.... I could have died. I'm learning about Australian football and chatting about the Midwest with Ian when this random Australian guy came over and invite us downstair to play shuttlecock with him and his friends because they need another player. So off we all went, met a bunch of Australians...and start playing shuttlecock...which is really shuttleboard.... and Trinh found out that he is actually good at this game. It's soo cool that these Australians just hang out together, not really knowing each other, sharing food, playing games, and I'm playing with them too.... I love it. Ian and I has such lovely conversations and great repor....I'm falling for this boy hard...

I guess now is the time to break it to all my loyal reader that Ian is NOT gay. He has a girlfriend of 10 years, living in Beijing as a writer for a magazine... Heartbreak. LOL. But it's so refreshing to meet a man who is comfortable with sexuality and reveal to me his love of Project Runway. hahaha... I can't say that I wasn't disappointed when I found out he was straight, but he was so lovely. Giving me compliments....and Steward is hilarious!!! Over all, it was a great group of Australians and Ian gave me his number, the number of his former boss, Shamus, who could be useful to me in finding graphic design jobs in Shanghai since Shamus apparently knew alot of designers.... and Ian promise that if I'm in Beijing, I get to go on a date with this guy Ben whom Ian just know we'll be great. HAHAHA.... so I guess I'll be going to Beijing again after all right Rachel? LOL.

It's so great to meet a group of expats who are genuinely nice to each other and all cool with everythings....I think it's kinda rare in Shanghai. People are cool with you but often, not to this level. God, if only i can get a picture of the people....especially Ian...why is he taken and is straight? LOL.

Tomorrow, I think I'll just do more shopping therapy...wanting to check out Zara and few boutiques stuffs around JingAn area...

Anyway, good night all.
